Burglars!

Just had reports of burglars getting into a house near me in Calle Caminillo, Torrox pueblo, at 4.00 a.m.

This is the SIXTH time this house has been burgled in 12 months. The owners were sleeping in there at the time. The house has an alarm fitted but that didn’t deter them. The burglars are now able to pick locks apparently.

Car Parking – Madrid Airport

Car parking when leaving from Madrid airport

Help please. We are flying out from Madrid and want to leave our car somewhere for the time we are away. We would rather not pay megabucks for parking at an airport car park. In England you can stay at a hotel the first and last night of your hol and they will offer you free parking while you are away and airport transfer. Does anyone know of a hotel that does this near Barajas Airport? Or alternatively a hotel from which we can get to the airport with free street parking outside it to leave a car for 10 nights. Participatory Budgeting

Torrox will be hosting meetings every Monday on participatory budgeting. A quarter of the town’s annual budget is allocated to this.
Torrox residents can offer ideas on how to allocate the budgets to the Town Hall. Every Monday, beginning at 19.00 hours, the local working groups will meet in the Convent. Any citizen may attend these meetings.
Last October the first symposium on participatory budgeting was held. At that time, Vice President of the Diputación de Málaga and Territorial joint deputy, Miguel Esteban Martin, said that Torrox is going to make history in the province to become the first to allocate up to a quarter of its forthcoming annual accounts for the project within the framework of participatory budgeting ‘.
The town is one of the few in the country developing this initiative.
