YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW

(ITALY – 1963 – 112 min.) ROMANTIC COMEDY DIRECTED BY VITTORIO DE SICA. Three stories about three very different women and the men they attract. Starring Sofia Loren as all three women and Marcello Mastroianni as all three men.
1) Adelina sells black-market cigarettes in Naples, is married to the unemployed Carmine, and faces a jail sentence. She can avoid it as long as she’s pregnant. Several years and seven children later, Carmine is exhausted, so jail looks inescapable as does her contempt for Carmine.
2) In Milan, Anna drives a Rolls, is bored, and picks up a writer. She talks dreamily of running off with him until he dents her car; that gets her emotional attention.
3) Mara, a Roman call girl, turns the head of a naive seminarian, prompting a run-in with his granny and a vow of abstinence. Mara’s fizzy lover from Bologna grows impatient. In Italian with English subtitles.

The Knight and Death play as the cultural turmoil envelopes the people around them as they try, in different ways, to deal with the upheaval the plague has caused. With: Bibi Andersson, Nils Poppe. We were wondering if any Digame! readers have used the website ‘Pixmania’ to order electronics, etc. We have had problems in the past with deliveries as we are slightly off the beaten track (though not much) and wondered if they were reliable. Should anyone have feedback we’d appreciate to hear about your experiences with them.

Wanted – house in the campo to rent long-term (11 months). Furnished. Happy to look anywhere from Rincon de la Victoria to Nerja. No more than 20 mins from A-7. No close neighbours. Suitable for a dog, with
good off-lead exercise space nearby. Enclosed garden area preferred. Good sized land would be nice. Pool. Three or four bedrooms, min two bathrooms. Internet essential (preferably already installed but at least available). Oven/dishwasher/washing machine/dryer. Separate kitchen (or at least separate utility room). Wood burning stove in
lounge. Other heating/aircon ideal. Parking. Off main road. No track. Sky TV dish preferred. Ideally short drive to local shop for basics/village within 10 mins.
